Weekend Boot-stompin' at Hole in the Wall

Lure too close to 12th and Salina street and you might be lured in by guttural siren call of Cartright. The 5 piece band who live and work in East Austin, come together create an experience that teeters between primal and surreal. Make no mistake that watching these boys play is an experience. Their music is a sailor song; desperate, story-telling folk, full of "raspy, whiskey-soaked choruses." Their boot-stomping sing-a-longs are as eerie as they are alluring.

Cartright is back to haunt you this Saturday at Hole in The Wall as they headline a show with Prayer For Animals, Lean Hounds, and Sir Name and The Janes. E-mail sumi.ink@gmail.com for the chance to win tickets and free drink at this show.
